Phil Ivey: Iced Veins

Phil Ivey playing poker

Phil Ivey was born in 1976 in California, and currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. His is a very recognizable face in poker, as he has appeared in multiple televised finals over the past four years. He shares the record of three World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets in one year. He is nicknamed the "Tiger Woods of Poker" due to his dominance and rapid emergence on the poker circuit. He was only 23 when he won his first WSOP bracelet.

Much of his success can be attributed to his style of play. He has a sharp eye, and can be one of the hardest players to get a read on. Additionally, he tends to move all in at early stages. Sometimes this can result in his exit from the tournament earlier than would result from a more conservative style of play. However, more often than not, this tactic serves to increase his stack of chips and take out other players.

Phil is part of Team Full Tilt , which is an active online poker team. Other players on this team are: Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson, Andy Bloch, Erik Seidel, Phil Gordon, Jennifer Harman, Erik Lindgren, Clonie Gowen and John Juanda.
